Position Overview:

We are seeking a visionary and accomplished leader to serve as the Head of the School of Engineering and Technology. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering and technology education, research, and leadership. As the head of this dynamic school, you will be responsible for shaping and driving its academic, research, and industry engagement strategies. You will lead the development of innovative programs, build strong industry partnerships, and foster an environment that promotes cutting-edge research, practical learning, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide strategic leadership for the School of Engineering and Technology, overseeing academic programs, research initiatives, and industry collaborations.
Develop and implement a forward-thinking curriculum that addresses emerging trends in engineering and technology, including AI, IoT, data science, robotics, automation, and renewable energy.
Drive research excellence by fostering interdisciplinary collaboration among faculty and students, and promoting research in cutting-edge areas like advanced manufacturing, smart technologies, and sustainable engineering solutions. Build strong partnerships with industry leaders, research institutions, and government agencies to provide students with real-world exposure, internships, and collaborative research opportunities.
Lead the development of new programs and certifications in line with global technological advancements and industry demands.
Mentor and support faculty members in teaching, research, and professional development to ensure excellence in both academic and research activities.
Secure research grants, funding, and sponsorships for large-scale projects and innovations in engineering and technology.
Promote a culture of innovation, entrepreneurship, and continuous learning among students and faculty.
Ensure compliance with national and international accreditation standards for engineering and technology education.
Oversee faculty recruitment, retention, and performance evaluation to build a team of world-class educators and researchers.
Organize conferences, seminars, and workshops that position the school as a leader in engineering and technology education.
Encourage students’ participation in national and international competitions, hackathons, and research forums.

Qualifications:

Ph.D. in Engineering, Technology, or a related field.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in academic administration, teaching, and research within the engineering or technology domains.
Proven track record of leadership in a university, engineering school, or research institution.
Strong research portfolio with significant contributions to technological innovations, publications, and industry partnerships.
Experience in curriculum development, accreditation processes, and academic administration.
Candidates with industry experience are highly preferred to ensure strong collaboration between academia and industry.
Ability to build strong industry networks and secure research funding.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
A vision for the future of engineering and technology education in the context of global challenges and emerging technological trends.

Preferred Experience:

Previous experience in leadership roles within an engineering or technology school or department.
